ELI-DC meets Lithuanian Minister of Economy

On Tuesday 27th of June 2017, Carlo Rizzuto - Director General, and Catalin Miron - Deputy Director General of the ELI-DC International Association met the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, Mindaugas Sinkevicius, in presence of Algis Piskarskas - President of the Lithuanian Laser Association (LLA), Gediminas Račiukaitis - Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Center of Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC), and Chief Executives of the major Lithuanian companies in the Lasers & Photonics sector, to discuss the opportunity for Lithuania to become one of the founding members of the ELI-ERIC.

ELI-DC AISBL is coordinating, together with the Host countries (Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania) and international Members (France, Germany, Italy, and the UK), the activities of preparation of Step 2 of the application of the Extreme Light Infrastructure to the European Commission, to become a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC), the legal framework selected for the operation phase of ELI as a distributed research infrastructure of Pan-European interest.
