EUCALL provides travel bursaries to attend at Nuclear Photonics 2018

Nuclear Photonics 2018 aims to bring together leading scientists, researchers and research scholars from around the world involved in the development of ultrahigh intensity lasers and gamma beam systems, nuclear physics and applications to exchange and share their experience and most recent results in the field. The conference is the second edition of the biennial series devoted to the pursuit of nuclear science and applications with photons. The event will be held in Brasov, Romania on 24-29 June 2018.

The aim of European Cluster of Advanced Laser Light Sources (EUCALL) project is to support the efficient implementation and operation of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) advanced laser light source projects ELI and European XFEL, and to initiate a process assuring that the ensemble of Advanced Laser Light Research Infrastructures (ALL-RIs) is optimally used and further developed for science and innovation in Europe. The European Union is now funding a 7 million-euro effort to bring laser and X-ray research infrastructures together through the European EUCALL project.

EUCALL provides travel bursaries for up to 20 young researchers to attend the Nuclear Photonics 2018 conference in Brasov. Selected candidates can receive up to 500€ to cover travel and accommodation costs to attend the event. The deadline for applications is 15 May 2018.
